Well, here's a short list of few things you can surely live without. Let's start!

1) Dishwasher: this item may help you and, of course, improve the quality of your life (I'm not querying about that) but you can afford a life without it.... If you accept to lose a little of your precious time after dinner to wash dishees, cutlery and pans!

2) TV: ok, I admitt that this voice may sound strange... But have a look to all the stupid programs available on TV: do you really like to waste your time in watching them? Don't be silly! You can read newspapers (which are often available on line), watch your favourite TVseries on DVDs and it's the same for movies.

3) Wall clocks: well, you can live without them... but you'll always be late!

4) Car: I don't mean that cars are unuseful. If you are in an emergency or if you are going to take a trip you'll need a car for sure. But, assuming your working place is in a good position to be reached by footh/cycle/bus, you won't need a car everyday.

So, I think having a car is helpfull in some occasions, not always... isn't it?
