I've always loved the characters of Beatrix Potter's tales: Peter, Jemima, Timmy, Benjamin, Miss Moppet... but recently I've also begun to collect and read all her books.
The books are very small, and so useful for children, and their beautiful pictures can take my mind away to a special place made of countryside and talking animals... An unreal world, in which I'd like to spend some of my time.
All the tales are nice, of course, but I think some of them are particularly sweet and I want to report them here.
Let's start with Peter Rabbit, Beatrix Potter's first character!
The tale talks about e rabbit family composed of old Mrs Rabbit, the mum, and four little bunnies who's name are Flopsy, Mopsy, Cotton Tale and the naughty Peter. Their father had an accident in Mr McGregor's garden, and unfortunately he was put in a pie.
Mr McGregor is a very unpleasant character, and also the neighbour of the rabbit family.
One day, while old Mrs Rabbit is into the baker's shop, Peter goes to Mr McGregor's garden to take some carrots and starts his unexpected and dangerous adventure!
You can find many audible version of this tale, but I suggest the one read by Meryl Streep, which is my favourite!
