DSC_0391.JPGI've never been such a tea lover like now I'm living in England!

I discovered the pleasure of an hot cup of tea in the afternoon, which is able to restore you as it represents a break, something like a stop to daily stress.

Now, there is a real tea ritual in this Country, with a lot of beautiful stuff useful to make it perfect: pots, cups and saucers, butter biscuits, sandwiches and also decorated table cloths, flowers, tea cosies, napkins..... A lot of things that can make you happy!

I would like to collect all those objects in my house and for my pleasure, but in the meantime here it is the list of tea time ritual's steps (taken from Wikipedia, see this link):

Tea is usually served at 4 p.m..

 - The kettle is boiled and water poured into a tea pot.

 - Water is swirled around the pot to warm it and then poured out.

- Teaspoons full of loose tea or tea-bags are then added to the pot. The traditional quantity is one per person and one for the pot.

- Freshly boiling water is added to the pot and allowed to brew for a few minutes while a tea cosy is placed on the pot to keep the tea warm.

Milk may be added to the cup either before or after the tea is poured.

A tea strainer is placed over the top of the cup to catch tea leaves and the tea poured through it.

The tea is then given to guests and they can sugar to their taste.

The pot will normally hold enough tea so as not to be empty after filling the cups of all the guests. If this is the case, the tea cosy is replaced after everyone has been served.

Isn't it lovely?

Ah, I forgot to tell you that the two little Pumpkins and the grey Duck you see in the pictures, were my guest for tea-party!
