Meatballs in tomato sauce
I like meatballs, in particular the fried ones.... but I don't like to fry because of the smell which remains in the flat and on dresses. So, I propose you this different dish, which is also very tasty and simple to prepare.
So, let's take a big bowl and put in it half a kilo of beef mince, two eggs, some italian parmesan (please, note that if you don't have it, the dish won't be good enough), wet bread (in a quantity that you should judge after some experiments), salt, pepper and nutmeg powder.
Mix well with a wood spoon and make meatballs (not too big, for they would need more time to be cooked and then they don't look nice). Cover them with a thin layer of flour.
In the meantime, let's take a nonstick pan and put in it extra-virgin olive oil and a glove of garlic (otherwise you can use a well cut onion). Cook unitll the garlic is quite yellow and then add tomato sauce with sugar (to correct tomatoes acidity), salt and chilli pepper. Cook for few minutes and finally add your meatballs!
Enjoy the dish with hot bread and, maybe, some roasted potatoes!
