February 17th: Cat's Day!
I've heard that today is the Cat's Day! At least here in Italy, I don't know elsewhere...
I've found that this celebration was set up by the journalist Claudia Angeletti, in 1990. In the pages of her journal she asked the readers which should be, in their opinion, the best day for a Cat's celebration and the February 17th was chosen.
They chose February becasuse it's the month of Aquarius, the birth sigh of free spirits and unconventional people, like cats are. They also chose 17th because it's composed by 1 and 7, like one life for seven times. And cats, as you know, have seven lives!
